Mystery Writers of America is proud to announce, as we celebrate the 207th anniversary of the birth of Edgar Allan Poe, the Nominees for the 2016 Edgar Allan Poe Awards, honoring the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction and television published or produced in 2015. The Edgar® Awards will be presented to the winners at our 70th Gala Banquet, April 28, 2016 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, New York City.
Rullo di tamburi, ecco l’annuncio ufficiale. Siete curiosi? L’Edgar è forse il premio più importante e interessante per gli amanti della Mystery fiction. Quest’anno c’erano diversi libri che conoscevo, per cui è stato anche più interessante seguire la premiazione. Megan Abbott non ha vinto con il suo “The Little Man” per la categoria racconti, piccola delusione, ma in compenso ha vinto King con il suo “Obits” – tratto da Bazaar of Bad Dreams, quindi non dite che King è un autore trascurato, snobbato dalla critica e gne gne, vince, vince sempre fuori e dentro le classifiche, e a proposito sto leggendo il suo libro e riserva davvero molte sorprese. Nella categoria miglior romanzo, haimè non vince Duane Swierczynski con il suo Canary (non ho proprio azzeccato un pronostico) ma Let Me Die in His Footsteps di Lori Roy. Ma bando alle ciance, andiamo alla lista completa dei premiati:
